Am in the UK and considering changing my ISP to Freeserve.
how the devil do I get it running on my DOS machine? My

The settings you need to know for getting on the internet with
Nettamer are no different from the ones you need to know for
getting on the internet with Window$...snipped...

Many thanks for your most informative reply. Have only today got
round to getting Freeserve up and running on my old IBM XT286.
Works perfectly except for printing line or two of unintelligible
nonsense on the screen immediately following 'CONNECT 115200' and
before 'Your IP address is....' PPP negotiation message then
appears at bottom of screen within a second or so. This nonsense
doesn't seem to result in any malfunction and disappears almost
straightaway, but didn't happen with previous ISP (Pipex).
May tinker with login script once satisfied that all else is quite
stable and reliable.
For anybody in the UK getting started on Freeserve, download
http://www.freeserve.com/help/connection/freeservesettings.htm
Thanks once again.

The nonsense lines and characters seen on screen when Nettamer is
negotiating its dialup connection protocols are normal for Nettamer.
The same thing happens in the US with Nettamer also. None of this
stuff adversely affects the functionality and reliability of Nettamer.
It just looks funny.
